Juventus Bring In Former Azzurri Manager the Experienced Gaffer
The Serie A powerhouse have appointed ex- Italian national team manager Luciano Spalletti as their manager for the remainder of the campaign.
Spalletti takes over from his predecessor, who was let go after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio last weekend.
The former boss came on board in March to replace Thiago Motta but left after seven months at the end of an eight-match winless run.
Spalletti led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022-23 then moving on to lead the Italian national team, after the team's failure to reach the 2022 World Cup with Mancini at the helm.
He helped them qualify for Euro 2024 exiting in the last 16 stage against Switzerland.
Nonetheless, Italy dismissed Spalletti in June post a qualifying defeat against Norway, with the Azzurri at risk of missing out on a third consecutive World Cup.
He has previously coached Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Italy's top flight and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.
Massimo Brambilla served as interim manager for Juventus in the midweek 3-1 triumph over Udinese which left them seventh in Serie A - six points adrift of Napoli at the top after nine rounds.
Their Champions League campaign sees them in 25th place in the group stage, with one loss and two draws in their first three games.
