Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in Queensland's southeast woke up experiencing outages on Monday morning after powerful weather events swept through the region, generating wind gusts reaching 109km/h.

Locals observed substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of 7cm in particular locations. Weather authorities confirmed that various areas across Queensland had been impacted by significant hail.

Emergency crews were focused on reestablishing electricity service throughout the damaged zones, with nearly 70 crews working to address the widespread outages.

Simultaneously, around one thousand residents in Victoria also experienced power outages after the capital city recorded its heaviest rainfall in over 500 days.
Emergency response teams responded to over five hundred calls for help across the area, mainly for property damage but also for collapsed vegetation and inundation.

At one point on yesterday, more than 28k power users in the state were without power.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along large portions of Queensland's east this coming days as a weather pattern continued to draw in moisture against the coast.
Tuesday was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent severe weather risk expected across multiple regions of both areas.

Public health experts alerted that there was an greater possibility of weather-related respiratory issues across the countryside regions, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
This caution comes after previous incidents where similar conditions led to significant health impacts in the region.
